Coded block - Rise

A light, interaction in a Rise coded block that allows learners to identify and reflect on their communication style in a game-like format.  This could be used as a kick-off to soft skills or leadership training.

The code for the block was generated using vibe-code prompting in Gemini 3 Pro.

Leadership Training Program: Curriculum Map

Below is an outline of the core modules and learning objectives for the First-Time People Manager program.

Module: The People Leader Mindset

By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the performance expectations for people leaders.
Module: Time Management

By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  • Categorize 100% of their current weekly task list into the four quadrants of the Eisenhower Matrix.
  • Identify at least two Quadrant 4 tasks to eliminate or automate immediately.
Module: Delivering Feedback

By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  • Using a provided case study, deliver a 5-minute feedback session using the SBI (Situation, Behavior, Impact) model.
  • Develop a SMART goal framework for a direct report that aligns with departmental quarterly KPIs.
Module: Coaching for Growth

By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  • Create a structured agenda for a recurring 1-on-1 meeting that balances tactical updates with long-term career development.
  • During a role-play exercise, demonstrate the GROW coaching model by asking at least one open-ended question for each stage (Goal, Reality, Options, Will) and collaboratively defining one specific action step with their direct report.
Module: Mastering Delegation

By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  • Re-assign at least three tasks from their current workload to team members to demonstrate effective delegation.
Module: Managing Conflict & Escalation

By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  • In a role-play scenario, demonstrate active listening techniques (paraphrasing and clarifying questions) to resolve a simulated conflict between two team members.
  • Given workplace conflict scenarios, select the most appropriate TKI mode (Competing, Collaborating, Compromising, Avoiding, or Accommodating) for each and justify their choice based on the levels of Assertiveness and Cooperativeness required.
  • Given three red flag case studies, select the appropriate and in-policy escalation action.
